SABIC TO PRESENT ON CHEMICALLY RESISTANT LNP™ ELCRES™ COPOLYMERS AT NPE2024
SABIC Specialties will give a talk on its portfolio of LNP™ ELCRES™ copolymer resins used in demanding applications across multiple industries.
• Yuanqing (Emily) He, Ph.D., senior business manager for LNP copolymers at SABIC’s Specialties business, will speak on May 6 at 3:00 p.m.
• Her presentation will include application case studies and test data that illustrate the resistance of these materials to chemicals that can cause environmental stress cracking.
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, will give a presentation at NPE2024 about its growing portfolio of chemically resistant, specialty LNP™ ELCRES™ copolymers well suited for a range of demanding applications. Yuanqing (Emily) He, Ph.D., senior business manager for LNP copolymers at SABIC Specialties, will speak on May 6 at 3:00 p.m. on the Innovation Stage in the West Hall (Booth #W2380). She will describe how improved resistance to harsh chemicals provided by LNP copolymers can help prevent or mitigate environmental stress cracking that may lead to premature failure. Application case studies from the healthcare, mobility and consumer electronics industries will illustrate the exceptional performance of these materials. Dr. He will also highlight a path to offer ISCC+ certified renewable resins, which can help reduce an application’s carbon footprint, while providing the same properties.
SABIC’s LNP copolymers may be used to deliver enhanced chemical resistance vs. similar materials. They can withstand exposure to a range of aggressive chemicals, from healthcare disinfectants to sunscreen, skin oils and automotive fluids.
Dr. He, who joined SABIC in 2008, earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) and a doctorate from the State University of New York (Buffalo).
At NPE2024 (Booth #S19005), SABIC will spotlight specialty thermoplastic materials that are engineered to help multiple industries address pressing issues, including withstanding exposure to a range of aggressive chemicals. NPE2024 will be held in Orlando, Florida, May 6-10.
Electric vehicle service equipment may benefit from the chemical resistance properties of SABIC’s LNP™ ELCRES™ copolymers, helping to prevent environmental stress cracking and potentially extending the lifetime of parts.
